BEC is a Danish full service IT house and dates back to 1965. We have 45 years of experience in developing and operating IT systems for Danish financial institutions.
We have formulated our vision, our direction and goal as this:
BEC - a joint IT house that makes a difference for financial enterprises.
Behind most of BEC's IT systems are many customers' joint development and joint purchase. A result of this union is that we can offer some of the market's best and most competitive IT systems - both to customers within and outside the member range.
55 financial institutions own BEC. They are our “members". The customer list counts several hundred financial enterprises within the area of banking and pension etc. They are our “service customers". We primarily address smaller and medium-sized financial institutions. But in reality we have customers with one employee and customers with more than 3000 employees.
The members stand for half of BEC's turnover. The other half comes from the many hundred other customers.
People and Organisation
The IT skills of our employees are first class. It is our core competence to know the business of our financial customers. Only in that way we can deliver the best counselling and strong IT systems. If the employee has the right skills his or her knowledge will also in the future be developed and updated at BEC. E.g. BEC spent 14.6 mill. DKK on continuing education in 2008.
The employees at BEC are offered good facilities and a reasonable connection between work and spare time. One can use the fitness room or use one of the sports clubs. Through Healthy BEC there are very good possibilities of having a healthy work day. The employees' activity clubs offer hundreds of arrangements and activities every year. The sense of community is thriving in the culture on the workplace.
BEC's head office is in Roskilde with subdivisions and subsidiaries in Herning, Copenhagen and Odense. The subsidiaries are ALOC A/S and Schantz Data A/S. |
